This week in Feelings Neighborhood, we introduced you to a new neighbor — Squeaky, the Quest Master.

For Squeaky, almost anything can become a quest.

A new path, a question, a task, an unexpected obstacle — each one is something to explore. Squeaky loves creating quests for himself and his friends, turning ordinary moments into opportunities to try something new, solve a problem, and discover what might be possible.

When one path doesn’t work, Squeaky looks for another. And when his friends aren’t sure whether they can do something, he doesn’t simply tell them to be brave. He gives them a chance to explore, try, and discover for themselves just how capable they can be.

You can get to know him in our new short introduction, Meet Squeaky, and discover why, for the Quest Master, there’s always another way forward.

Squeaky’s Own Quest

But even the Quest Master knows what it feels like to be left behind.

When Squeaky’s older sister leaves for a birthday celebration, and he cannot go with her, Squeaky is disappointed. Someone else is heading off on an adventure — and this time, he isn’t invited along. With Cozy’s help, Squeaky begins to see the situation differently.

Sometimes we aren’t included because we aren’t ready yet. Sometimes an experience belongs to someone else. Sometimes the adventure we want simply isn’t our adventure.

But that doesn’t mean no adventure is waiting for us. Squeaky discovers that instead of waiting for someone else to bring him along, he can use the curiosity and imagination he already has to create his own quest.

Squeaky’s Own Quest is a story about disappointment, feeling left behind, finding another perspective, and discovering that your next adventure doesn’t always have to begin with someone else’s invitation. Sometimes, you can create it yourself.

With Squeaky, there’s always another way forward.
